Our Coffees

Community Coffee (Regional)

These are high quality coffees from the same region where we have managed to bring together several producers, generating perfect blends for milk-based beverages. Score 83 – 84 points

Single Producer “SEED” (Microlot)

These coffees are discovered in a single origin. They are coffees that are differentiated by being very balanced cups, with pronounced acidity, fruity and sweet notes and well-structured bodies, with long aftertaste and marked notes.

They mainly come from farms that are already aware of the quality but with limited resources to continue to the next level. They are coffees with good practices and they want to take a step further in terms of processing, drying and even planting some varietals. They are our artisanal producers that need a hand to continue advancing. Score 84,5 – 86,5

Single Producer “SEEDLING” (Microlot)

Coffees with differentiated processes such as natural, honey and prolonged fermentation, originating from a single farm that have been working for years on their quality and experimenting with new processes that take them on a journey of other flavors. These coffees stand out for their fruity or floral flavors, their intense sweetness and refined acidity. Score +85

Exotic (Microlot)

Coffee from very small lots of high-end coffee varieties from a single producer. These lots are either exotic coffee varieties or very differentiated processes of natural, honeys or long fermentations guided by us. Score +87

Some of our Farms

Finca el Ocaso

This is our family’s farm, where my husband, my father and my brother work. It is located in the municipality of Salento at 1,850 meters above sea level. We grow the Tabi, Castillo, Gesha and Pink Bourbon varieties.

The farm was bought by my grandfather and my father in 1987 and has been dedicated to coffee production ever since. In 2001, after a trip to Costa Rica to learn about clean and sustainable production and tourist coffee farming, the farm obtained its Rainforest, UTZ and 4C certifications. Generating a model of shade grown coffee that still remains and is largely responsible, together with the good practices of production and processing, of the quality that can be enjoyed today in this coffee.

In 2010 we were finalists for the Cup of Excellence of Colombia. If you want to know the origin and have an authentic coffee experience you can do it in their hotel which is a beautiful coffee house with more than 100 years of construction. Visit their website www.fincaelocasosalento.com

Finca la Marquesa

A family born and raised in the mountains of San Jeronimo Antioquia. 6 children of which the youngest, Reinaldo Zapata, was left with the legacy of his father who still lives and works on the farm at the age of 83.

Reinaldo had the opportunity to go to school to study, not because his father proposed it or told him that he should do so, but because he decided to do so. He was clear about one thing and that was that he wanted to stay on the farm working with his father, but one thing he did tell him was that he would stay with the commitment of renewing the coffee plantations that had been planted for more than 50 years without ever having made a soca.

This is how Reinaldo and his family entered the world of specialty coffee. Today he works hand in hand with his three sisters who are in charge of the promotion of the roasted coffee, his uncles and nephews are involved in the harvesting of the coffee and patio stuff, and he as a master of the orchestra is in charge of the whole chain supervising that each detail is carried out with the due process so that the quality is better and better.

Finca El Guamo

On one of our special coffee hunting adventures, we stopped to look at a mountain planted in coffee that apparently had embedded rocks that really looked like dinosaur eggs. We got it in our heads that we would have to go back there and try that coffee. In 2020 we decided to return and met Mr. Albeiro Bulies (owner), his wife Erika and his son Esteban.

They tell us in their story that in 2013 they had decided to rent the farm to a third party due to the lack of resources to maintain it and get their crops, the bad coffee prices had affected them dramatically. However, in 2018 they returned because the land makes his call. They found the coffee plantations completely abandoned and grassy those who lived there had not done anything and everything was completely fallen.

Since then the three of them have been completely dedicated to coffee and in the most empirical way they do all the processes so judiciously that they had a coffee with excellent attributes. Now they are in our SEEDS program and we hope to build some African beds to continue improving the quality of their coffee.

Meet Edilberto! He has been working with coffee since he was very young, his father taught him everything.

He told us that when he was 18 years old, while bathing in the river of his farm, he fell on a rock that fractured his spine for life. He lost the mobility of his legs and some fingers of his hands.

This admirable man quickly understood that his disability would not prevent him from continuing to work in the fields and today he has a coffee that you can’t imagine. From now on Mr. Edilberto and his coffee from Huila enters our program of “Seedling Farmers”, to join with his natural Catuai.
